The Improved Bed Net System (IBNS) was originally designed to fit securely onto a military cot with webbing and side release buckles on all four corners. After initial fielding, we were informed that Marines liked the product so much that they were deploying it in the field as well. In response, we ruggedized the design, creating the capability to add a rainfly. We have since delivered hundreds of thousands on contract. After yet another round of improvements, we are proud to re-introduce the Burrow™ IBNS with enhanced capability, more user friendly features, and improved parts and fittings.

The Burrow’s instant deployment and cot compatibility make it an efficient, fast-access shelter to protect users from insects and a great shelter for medical patients in the field. It is EPA registered and has Permethrin bonded to the material for insect repellency. The Burrow is supported by a strong and ultra-light .134” diameter pultruded fiberglass rod which winds through the shelter, expanding it to its given shape. When the rolled up Burrow’s cinch strap is removed, the shelter is released and snaps into shape automatically. No assembly or set-up is required.

If there is only one tent you will ever need again, this is it. I have trekked through western Africa, countless islands, and North America with this tent. I have used it in every climate and every terrain... I will never use another tent again.

I haven't had the opportunity to use the IBNS yet although I did set it up in my living room. The one step setup is amazing. Tent is roomy for the average size person. Folds up easily and compact. The customer service is fantastic. I initially ordered my IBNS online. Got the receipt but no order number or email confirmation so I called the next day to verify that the order had been received. Well, it was not in their system. I spoke with Brian Murphy who then placed the order over the phone. The next day i received a call from Mr Murphy about a problem with my credit card. Turns out two of the numbers were backwards and the problem was fixed. The amazing part was that they shipped the tent even though my credit card hadn't been charged yet. I received the tent the very next day (upgrade to free 2 day shipping) and I can't wait to put it to use. I hope I am as satisfied with their tent as I am with their customer service.

I'm in the 82nd Airborne and was part of the Global response force that responded to the 2010 earthquake that hit Haiti. The amount of mosquitos that we encountered were unimaginable. Mosquito bites themselves were annoying, but then the chance of being infected with malaria really made you worry. Along with the other poisonous bugs and tarantulas crawling around at night, bug spray just didn't cut it. My unit bought these tents and issued them out, not only are they super easy to assemble (just take out of the bag, throw and it pops open itself) there's plenty of room for 1 person. I'm 6'3" and 210 Lbs and i still have room to roll around some and stretch out a little. even though it's full screen (minus the liner on the bottom and about 2" up from the bottom) it is slightly warmer inside the tent compared to outside. Also have some sort of rain liner or get the upgrade. The fold up procedures are a little difficult at first and might seem like you'll break it, just follow the instructions and after doing it 2 or 3 times it becomes easy to pack away. Great tent, a little warm, slightly difficult to pack away, and you need a rain liner handy or the upgrade kit from catoma.
